I'm looking for a USB HDD for backing up my flac files and moving them between home and beach. My home PC has a separate internal hard drive where I burn and keep my flac files. I have a 250-gig USB device at the beach connected to a laptop running SC that I like to keep up to date by copying to a third HDD at home and using it to update the second system. I use a mirroring program to copy to and from the portable drive. I need at least 250 gigs of space on the portable drive. I like the ease of the USB-powered 2.5-inch drives if they are reliable. I'll only be using the drive occasionally, plugging it in when necessary.
