Check out the Apricorn Aegis. I have a Firewire 160 GB, my next one will be USB in a larger size. Shock mounted drive, attached cable, neoprene sleeve. Makes for a very compact and neat package. I dropped mine once in the sleeve from about 4ft and it survived without a problem.
