I got a bit lost with your post, Mark. I have pretty basic computer
knowledge compared to most of you guys!!!

So my set up is quite simple I think. Cable modem plugged into a
Belkin router. PC is hardwired to the router. Mac laptop and SB
connect through wireless to the router.

To log into the Belkin settings I use the IP address 192.168.2.1. When
I went into the router settings (most of it doesn't make sense to me), I
noticed that the DCHP client list had all similar IP addresses - as you
described (192.168.2.3, 192.168.2.4 etc.). Also my PC isn't listed
with the other equipment on the DCHP client list.

I think I understand what you mean about the router and modem competing
with each other. What can I do to fix this (remember my limited
computer knowledge!!)?

Just to recap:
My PC has an IP Address of 192.168.15.2 (with a gateway IP of
192.168.15.1).
All my other equipment seems to have IP addresses starting with
192.168.2.X
