You need to connect the SBR via wired ethernet initially, however, in order to configure it via Net::UDAP. Once configured, it can be wired or wifi, of course. > identifying the SBR through SC running on my NAS (connected to SBR by > ethernet through router) and using ipeng as controller using the > router's wifi (rather than P2P with the SBR) even when my laptop is > off? That should be fine. Note that iPeng connects to SC itself, never to the SBR, so as long as iPeng can connect to SC on the NAS, via wifi, and SC can also connect to the SBR - via either wired or wifi - then you should be fine. > I assume once my SBR is set up, any devices running SC (such as > my NAS) will be able to find it, but not sure. do you really intend to have multiple devices running SC? Normally, you'd have one, and control it from other PCs, iPeng, SBC, etc. Having multiple SC instances, even sharing a data backend, just means extra sets of settings to administer. cheers, calum. _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
