ok, I see. > Sounds like I should be able to make this work if I can > just work my way through Net::UDAP - which may be no small feat for me. It's not too hard, and we can help if you can't get it to work. I've configured *all* my SBs, including Booms, using Net::UDAP, partly because it's easier than entering things via the remote, even when that is possible. > You are correct that I'm not going to use multiple devices running SC - > I was just making the distinction between setting up the SBR through my > laptop, then finding the SBR with another networked device (the NAS). Ah, ok; there's no connection between the two, so that doesn't matter. During the configuration, you're just entering some data into the SBR's non-volatile memory, including pointing it at your SC server (the NAS). What system you use to initially configure the SBR is irrelevant. > No doubt I'll be back here bugging you for pointers when this all goes > awry! ok :) cheers, calum. _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
