ok, I see.

It's not too hard, and we can help if you can't get it to work. I've 
configured *all* my SBs, including Booms, using Net::UDAP, partly 
because it's easier than entering things via the remote, even when that 
is possible.

Ah, ok; there's no connection between the two, so that doesn't matter. 
During the configuration, you're just entering some data into the SBR's 
non-volatile memory, including pointing it at your SC server (the NAS).

What system you use to initially configure the SBR is irrelevant.
