To be honest, all that has happened is exactly what we predicted would happen when Slim got taken over by a much bigger, less focussed group.
In the early days, when Dean and Sean were there and KDF was the forum guru, there was a sense that anything that could be done to fix a problem, would be. Now, I am told that consumer items are designed to end up as landfill after a couple of years and sod the environment. As for getting it fixed under warranty, I don't see Logitech offering me that after I admit opening the box. Another difference from the old days - when my SB1 wireless card came unseated, Dean advised me to open the box and gave me a personal assurance that it would not void my warranty. I wonder what the predicted life of the touch screen will be on the new SB? -- philipb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ philipb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33119 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71324 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
