Thanks, awesome catch there. I'd never looked for this, and there it
is, under the mysb.com tab in SBS settings... the big question is, does
synchronization mean that mysb.com settings obliterate the SBS settings
when in doubt? It could be cool if I could in fact backup individual
players' settings to mysb.com (provided the latter never develops a mind
of its own) since storing stuff in the cloud is so trendy these days.

However, it has happened to me 3 times since installing 7.4.1 that my
settings get overwritten or simply obliterated. And I have had 3 other
users tell me they experienced a similar occurrence at a similar time.
Whether we are all Linux users I do not know, but it would hope that
doesn't make a difference...

Thanks everybody for your comments and help.

As always, in the process of fixing something I learn more stuff from
fellow SB users.
