I once installed windows form USB. My hard drive died and I had a dead CD drive. You need to write the image to the usb-drive some way. And not just copy the file to it. So download the Vortexbox.iso and then you need something like this to put it on the usb: http://lifehacker.com/5574276/universal-usb-installer-makes-a-persistent-thumb-drive-version-of-any-linux-os Also you want to boot from USB you may need to change a bios setting to tell the pc to try to boot from the USB if available. You can deactive this after instalation. Then, you just need to do the initial install with KB and screen. After that you can access the VortexBox & SBS front end via the web and you can also probably access the comand line on the PC from another PC (I think?). http://vortexbox.org/documentation/ http://vortexbox.org/documentation/vortexbox-quick-install-guide/ -- lrossouw Louis 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/lrossouw) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ lrossouw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3416 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81683 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
