M350 case, 2GB DDR2 667 SODIMM and 80W AC Universal Adapter were from www.mini-itx.com. D945GSEJT motherboard was from www.pc-stop.co.uk and I bought a 2.5" Seagate Momentus 500Gb 7200rpm HDD from www.novatech.co.uk. Total cost was around £260.
I will add another HDD and I'll need to get the extra mounting bracket from mini-itx. I'm now just waiting for the USB keyboard to arrive before I can start getting it up and running. I did decide to go for an external USB DVDrom too as I thought it could be used for ripping CDs or DVDs straight to the unit. This DIY PC will be always on and connected directly to my router. From what I've read and been advised, Vortexbox and Squeezebox Server will be accessed via a web browser on my main PC. -- zozo4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ zozo4's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39445 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81683
