I now have the squeezebook set up on a wired connection and working.
Thanks to everyone for your help. Next job is to re-do for wireless. 

I must confess however that I am still baffled by the perl business.
Creating a desktop shortcut to kick off the script worked while the
other methods didn't. Why was this? Also, I did the setup using my XP
netbook. When I tried to replicate the process on my vista PC it didn't
work - same issue, a dos box flashed on the screen briefly (no Udap
prompt) then terminated. Could it have anything to do with this IP
address parameter that is on the end of the perl command? What does it
do and why must it by 192.168.1.65?
