Job finished! SBR is now running nicely wirelessly and controlled by Ipeng on an Ipod.
Only (insignificant) glitch is that when I stop playing music there is no obvious way to switch it off. And when I later return to play more, the ipod won't work until I power down the SBR and re-start it. Takes only a couple of seconds, so not important but if there is an elegant way around this, it would be good to know. Once again, thanks to everyone for all the advice.
