Yup, and I'll bet this is just the beginning of all broadcasters
greatly restricting access to free online content.

If a large enough segment of TV watchers were to go the
AppleTV/Hulu/GoogleTV route the cable & sat companies could never pony
up the money for the rebroadcast rights.
Just this past year two huge broadcasters temporarily pulled the plug
on two major cable providers when they could not reach an agreement on
$$$ to rebroadcast.

People think I'm crazy for saying this, but I will bet that one or two
of the networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) will cease over the air (OTA)
operations in the next decade, going to a subscription model only.
Free OTA is a cost to the networks and only reaches about 11% of their
viewers, 89% of their viewers come from subscription based providers
(cable/sat) and they make money (lots of money!) selling the
rebroadcast rights to these providers.

Just as free OTA is a doomed business model, so is free internet access
to the same content.
Some how, some way, that content must be paid for. ;)
