I'd also like to report erratic behavior after the 4.2.1 update. After resuming the program via app switching connection will sometimes not be reestablished with the Squeezebox server.
The sort icons for list view and cover view are mangled and squished up into the corner on New Music as well as the play selection modes on the Music folder section. Random crashes and folder art disappearing after an app switch are also symptoms. I am connecting to a remote squeezebox server outside of my network, but the iPhone version and the previous iPad version did not suffer from these issues with the same network and hardware configuration (granted I wasn't app switching [iPhone 3G]).
