This is good news. 
A (windows) server indeed handles WMA transcoding for local files and
it's good to know that this also works automatically for Napster.
I did a quick search about WMA decoders, but didn't get any far. Also I
need to read into licensing issues, maybe as with mp3 there are still
licensing fees which might apply before I can support it natively.

I'll be listening to BBC iPlayer between christmas and new year - maybe
I'm able to reproduce your issue with start/stop!
