I did see this as well yesterday (with 7.5.4 beta), after some time it was gone and I didn't know why. Now I installed 7.6 again and am seeing this connection screen as well. After playing around with my system for quite some time I now found a solution: The only way I can get rid of this connection screen, is to go to the settings-screen of Squeezebox-Server -> Advanced -> Logging. Then turning on Debug-Log on channel 'network.cometd'. This is really strange and I think there is still some mess left in Squeezebox-Server in the core communication code.
