Normally it should not be a problem for the receiver to find the server again after a server reboot, it should not stay blue but shift to dull white, this works for most of us ?
Assuming you have choosen the reciever as a player on the controller, if press "my music" does the reciever then finds the server ? This suggest some oddity in the network setup . I have always done just that, turned off the server and powered it up again later, all my players and controllers have then found the server again, no problem . But I use a very simple network (192.168.1.x , 255.255.255.0) and use static ip on everything stationary . My router is the old linksys WRT54GL with tomato fw, no internal firewall family filters (urgh) "guest networks" or other stupidities that makes it more confusing and harder to setup and a bunch of switches, most stuff conects thru the switches . Things to try if you want to tinker a bit. Set the server to a true static ip adress (when doing that, adjust the routers dhcp range so that it can not give out used adresses ). Set players and controllers to true static ip, requires more tinkering, but search the forum for instructions . You may need to describe your network to see if someone has any insights . Some people that set up their receiver with netudap has described similar problems ? (I did not have them when i had a reciever ). -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
