Thanks for all the suggestions: you are right it was a network issue all along. Maybe because I was using UDAP and not the SBC for setup.
Anyway problem was solved by: - assigning static IP to SBS and SBR via the wifi router interface - setting lan_ip_mode=0 - setting the lan_gateway to the router IP address - setting network_lan_address to the SBR static IP So now it is automatically connecting to SBS when the PC is rebooted, and the switching between SBS and MSB is going smoothly.
