Too bad to hear about your SB3. That is definitely shorter than the average lifespan for that device. Are you sure it's dead? Sometimes something as simple as a loose wifi card can make it appear dead, but really it is easily fixed.
I've had a Touch for over two years (courtesy of the hardware beta program) and it has been perfectly reliable. I do _not_ use the built-in Squeezebox Server (aka TinySC or TinySBS). Rather I use an external SBS on a small pc. Most (though by no means all) of the reliability problems that others have reported with the Touch have to do with TinySBS. If you're looking for a replacement for the SB3, then I would say the Touch is a good way to go. But first make sure you can't repair the SB3. . -- aubuti Nothing high-end, but music anywhere I want it, and it's '100% wind powered' (http://www.cleancurrents.com/).
