Logitech is a public company that is somewhat (completely?) beholden to their Board and shareholders. And I have a hard time coming up with an example of a company that doesn't focus on at least long term profit. Otherwise they will cease to exist. Don't get me wrong, I think Logitech has likely squandered a good customer base and a great product. But again, they are a business, not an open source collective.
I hope to have many more years use of my SB ecosystem, including mysb.com. But when I begin to get depressed about change, I remind myself that absent change, I'd be communicating here using my Apple ][ computer and 300 baud dialup modem, discussing which cartridge is best for my turntable. That puts things in perspective for me. p.s. I still have my Apple ][ and it still works. ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96311 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
