That said, if you actually want your slimp3 to work with 6.2, you will need to bite the bullet and report the problem via bugzilla and help the developers debug it. Go to the web site and open the bug report:

Consider the fact that 99% of companies would not bother to support products this old. And even on their supported products, the responsiveness of other companies is laughable when compared to SD. I have every confidence that SD will fix your problem if you help them identify it. But you do have to do some of the work.

Why are you bothering to help him? This guy obviously just wants to complain and isn't really looking for answers or he would have asked for help rather than making declarative statements as to how unsatisfactory the new software is. There are plenty of people using SliMP3's and SlimServer 6.2 (myself included, two SliMP3's); if he has any desire to get this working he will be more constructive and less inflamatory in the future.
BTW, I suspect that many of the most helpful and knowledgeable people with respect to SlimServer have actually abandoned the main support forum because of threads like this. It must be frustrating to volunteer your help only get constantly see people who can't be bothered to help themselves flame the product that they've worked so hard on.
