Running the current squeezebox software version I have had no tech support issues (knock on wood!!). Things appear to be stable at this point. My wife and kids even haven't had any trouble.
What concerns me is I currently subscribe to Rhapsody and my daughter uses slacker a lot. If those services change their interfaces requireing updates to the squeezebox "apps", then I have an issue. At that point, I would probably replace my kids' Booms with bluetooth speakers so they can stream music from their iPod.
