I had something similar happen on my system - after upgrading to MusicIP 1.6. Slimserver 6.2.2 beta had been running fine with MusicMagic 1.4.
There was a thread somewhere here on the board talking about that. Apparently a known MusicIP bug with accented characters - had been fixed before but now crept back in. Presumably it is fixed in there current beta (not as easy to access, so I have not tested). The only solution for me was to deactivate the MusicIP plugin and service, clear the Slimserver database and rescan my library.
