OK, OK, no need to shout!

Actually, this (for me at least) is about as far away from being a
"technical geek" issue as I can imagine.

This is about not wanting d'Alembert to be written as D'Alembert: about
"van" being written in lower case when its in the middle of a Dutch name
but as "Van" when its in front of Morrison. In other words, I'd really
like the names to be presented the way I want them - which wouldn't
happen if Slimserver imposed its own recapitalisation rules (and which,
I'm fairly sure, would be the consequence of such a change as you are
requesting).

Or, to put it another way, I really don't want any stupid computer
(because they are ALL stupid) thinking for me!

Its all about the music, and that kind of means being all about the
musicians as well.

So, your assertion that the software "sucks" or "is dumb" is, IMHO,
plain wrong: if its only going to work in one way then "presenting the
tags exactly as they are in the files" is the right option. On the
other hand, an enhancement request to add an option that says "please
mangle tags to an arbitrary capitalisation standard" is entirely
reasonable so why don't you just submit it into Bugzilla?

YMMV
