Why can't someone produce an RPM that just plain works?
...because there are too many different distributions in even more varieties.
I cannot get past the SQLite problem this time. Hell it took about 20 tries last time. The step that got it running last time did not work this time.
Please describe the problem, not your anger ;-) What's wrong? What did you do? Where did you get?
Or as an alternative to that, have some useful information on the Wiki.
Oh, there is. There are startup scripts for thos who prefer or have to install the tar ball for different distributions. Not for Mandriva, I'm afraid. But there simply are too many different distros :-/.
When I get home tonight and try it all again, I'll post exactly what is going on.
That's avery good idea. I'm sur eyour problems will be solved, once we got all the information needed.
