Yes, I agree with you and sorenson, an LCD belongs in a remote, not in
the player.

Ironically the Logitech Wireless DJ has a very nice remote with a
bright LCD screen.  From the photos, it almost looks like a VFD, but
the text clearly states it's LCD.
