Yes you are right I have again a request for uPnP with SlimServer. I am trying to find the best solution for my multi room Video/Sound network. It seem like the SqeezeBox/Slimserver is the best for the audio part of the network.
My only problem is that I would like to have the possibility of a fancy remote for connecting to the SlimServer as far as I understand this would only be possible with a uPnP compliant server. The remote I am thinking about is the Philips RC9800I. http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/catalog/product.jsp?language=en&country=GB&catalogType=CONSUMER&productId=RC9800I_05_GB_CONSUMER I realize that making the SqeezeBox uPnP would not be a good idea (hardware architecture etc.) Would it not be possible to make only Slimserver uPnP compatible or at least controllable from a uPnP compatible remote.
