I think the external HD must be the way to go; the backup aspect is even more important than the ability to listen. So the question becomes:
- I have WMP installed. Can I get FLAC codecs, do we think? Can't run an exe file, so is there a way to get WMP to install the codec for me? I can have a blast at copying everything to MP3 but this might be more difficult to synchronise (and is deeply pointless, really!) as I add to the library. Thanks for the ideas!
