My wife is in the same camp. Absolutely terrified by any kind of technical gizmo, compulsively switches off AND UNPLUGS(!) any device in the house that dares to show a red, yellow, green or blue LED (or VFD for that matter!) if she is not personally using it at that moment... Deeply distrustful of "standby" modes - she thinks it's a conpsiracy for keeping everything switched on 24x7! And BTW she absolutely *despises* the remote control & front panel interface to all my SBs. I have tried and tried to sell her the browser UI, but somehow she still cannot make the neural link between "wanting to hear music" and "turning to her computer browser"... Oh well!
