I had Slimserver 6.3 running perfectly on Vista until yesterday, when all internet radio stopped working. Today I removed 6.3, and installed 6.5.2, and the latest AlienBBC version. I have rebooted, turned off the Vista firewall, restarted the slimserver service.. and it doesn't work. I installed 6.5.2 in c:\slimserver, which is the advice on the Vista thread. When I use --d_plugins, Alienbc says: "2007-05-24 20:09:59.5074 ERROR: AsyncHTTP: Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.bbc.co.uk" I'm not sure this is the real reason, because AlienBBC has managed to parse the webpages to build the menu of listen again programs (unless it was cached from my previous 6.3 installation in a different folder?). Shoutcast and the others don't work either. Live music archive, for example, generates this message with 6.5.2: 2007-05-25 14:07:54.7822 ERROR: Async: Couldn't resolve IP address for: content.us.squeezenetwork.com I can connect to Squeezenetwork which works perfectly. The things I can think of that have changed on my PC recently are: * set Firefox as my default browser * installed some Windows updates * installed Hamachi (free VPN; software not running, but virtual network card is installed; I've disabled it) * installed VirtualPC AlienBBC is the only thing my wife will use the Squeezebox for, and whenever it doesn't work, I get lots of cutting remarks about it.. very poor wife acceptability!
