Everything I've read indicates that it can play a CD from your computer to your SB. The way I understand it, the 'existing audio stream' is what you have at your soundcard. The specific examples I've seen mention using foobar2000 or Winamp to play the CD. I'd try it myself to verify, but it doesn't seem to be updated for SC7 yet, and I don't run slimserver on Windows.
