Emergency upgrade/installation of new firmware if the firmware can't be downloaded from SqueezeCenter due to some technical problem. 2. Possibility to store music files locally to take these with you when you leave the house.

I agree, something in the form factor of an iPod would have been more appropriate for a portable device. The primary goal with this first version of the controller might not be to let it act as a portable device, but the current form factor allows you to take it with you out in the garden to continue listening to music when you go outside. This is the first version, but I'm personally already dreaming of a second edition in a year or two which have form factor more suitable for a portable player. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41805 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
