I am excited by the controller...and I was "so nearly" a beta
tester...maybe next time? (hint).
Anyway, I think (despite the price) this is a good move. What I'd
really like is a convergence product that marries the controller to the
Harmony One (or 1000) so that I can have control of everything from one
remote. I used to have a Madrigal which was OK. I thought about a
pronto (expensive).
My Linn remote can do most things (including SB) except Sky - but I
still tend to drive the SB via the web UI...coz I can see the artwork
and a multi line i/f+mouse is just more...useable/responsive.

I realise that there is much more to this device than a simple
"remote"...and it will evolve over time which is something I actually
find exciting in a product. How many times have you bought something
based on its day 1 functionality only to be left with the same
capability years later, when the rest of the market has moved on? The
SB - thanks to its community and internal devlopers - has evolved way
beyond where it started from. Every few weeks/months something emerges
that gets me excited again, with no need to spend more on hardware.
That is a rare and valuable thing.

The core of the SB (for me) is the bit-perfect digital playback and
rich UI. The visual remote is the icing on the cake.

Well Done Slim/Logitech.
