You will get en central storage you can share from serveral PC's. And if you have a mediaplayer you can store you DVDs on the NAS and access them from the media player. Power consumption on my nas is only 11w idle and 18w when running. After 10min the HDD goes into hibernate. I also have my homepage on my NAS
