That's always been a large complaint.  Looks like marketing is driving
new products in different directions, with a big emphasis on
SqueezeNetwork so that consumers don't have to continue to maintain a
local server.

Well, there's this guy, who claims to be the largest reseller of
Transporters.  Actually, you would seem to be the exact consumer that
he's aiming for.  They stuff two hard drives into a small form factor
PC and call it an NAS.  He seems a little clueless, though, when it
come to the actual product.  I'm guessing he's got a seventeen year old
kid building the servers and installing the software down in the
basement while he does mailorder in the kitchen.
