Note that recently Logitech enabled power management on the remote. IMHO (at the risk of sounding like a fanboy) the result is spectacular, after 10 hours of usage the power indicator still showed half full (or half empty) yesterday. I considered battery life the main drawback of the new remote (I got about 4 hours before), but that certainly seems fixed.
