1. Yes, this should work fine, but... 2. You need to run Squeezecenter (SC, the server application) somewhere to be able to listen to you local files. SC can be installed on any PC or on some NAS devices. It's also possible to run SC on the PC and store the audio files on the NAS. Make sure that whatever runs SC is wired to the router. In your case a setup with SC on one of the wireless laptops the music files on the (wired) NAS and a wireless Squeezebox would call for trouble because to many wireless hops are involved: (NAS -) wireless router - Laptop - wireless router - Squeezebox) 3. It's your choice. One music source is the default. SC does not scan your whole network for audio files. It only uses what you tell it to use.
