We could provide virtual machines with the file system used at the lessons. Unfortunately most people don't have prior knowledge of what is and how to use virtual machine and this will became a greater problem. About the pull request that address the problem to download the filesystem [1] we still trying get a consensus about it. Hopeful we will do it at this week meeting (see email from Greg).
