Justin and all,

I might suggest:

Also, you can lead a horse to watter, but you cannot have them drink. In order to justify a formal request for a Mac, you have to use the same logic you'd use for any other request. The problem you will run into with rehab and employers though is that there is a strong sense whether real or imagined that the Mac will not play nicely with windows networks so is dismiissed since it is not windows. Looking at the myriad of employment adds out there, many of them require windows even if it is not explicit. Rehab is in the business of providing folk with support leading to employment and till they *know* otherwise, they will move in the windows direction. This is not an adversarial situation although that statement about giving you a hard time was perhaps a bit off the mark. I think we are at least a year away from the time when all but the most progressive rehab agencies will be providing Macs under most circumstances. I suspect we are bit further out on a lot of deployment. As long as emplloyers and other entities continue to be windows shops, rehab will be in their camp. This is as it should be. Now, that does not stop you from getting a mac of your own and helping that cause along.

Take care.

Hi guys

my department of rehab counsilr, from whom I hope to get my mac for college, said the following.

"I am going to give you a hard time, though, if you want to get a Mac. It does not have the operating system that is compatible with the majority of the
business world applications."

Could anyone offer me some ammo for this debate? Thanks
