Maybe I was a little vague.  Here's what I meant:

For people who use the MacOS without VO at all they simply press down the cmd key and click the mouse on the non-contiguous files that they wish to select. Then they can perform whatever task they wish to do with the files. If you are visually impaired and can see the screen somewhat this method can be used but when you use VO it is not possible.

With respect to moving files from one directory to another, there is no Cut option in the finder. You'll have to copy and Paste then Delete. I don't know why Apple hasn't the Cut option, it's been a soar point for many.
