And I have found linking cursors to be more problematic. Isn't it great that
we have options?

Travis and all,
I found not having all cursors linked to be more problematical than
solution oriented.

And here folks is one reason I do not have all my cursors stuck together.
I get thhis kind of behavior quite often, and not just in mail. When it
happens, I simply move vo cursor to one of thhe other ones (keyboard
focus, or mouse cursor) and the problem goes away. I don't know what
causes this behavior, but sometimes it is quite anoying. However,
generally, simply moving vo to another cursor solves the problem quite
well. Lately I've been having this difficulty in safari. When clicking
on links that pop-up windows, or load audio contents, safari gets stuck
in the same rut, and then routing vo to another cursor is the only way to
fix it other than closing and reopening safari. <sigh> But it's only a
minor anoyance.

Tom,
I believe that you are confused by this thread. I understand the
concept of moving items between mailboxes and such and the idea of
selecting all messages in a specific mailbox as a way to delete them.
What we are speaking of here is the "Erase Deleted Messages" menu item
under the MailBox menu. This menu item has a keyboard shortcut of cmd+k
as well. When you attempt to use the cmd+k method, which of course has
the fewest key strokes, you get the issue we were speaking of. It says
"Dialog for InBox, Messages Table" or something very similar. It
appears to stay locked in this screen until you do something that
redraws the window or VO is turned off and on again. Closing the InBox
and re-opening it seems to be one method that works to remedy this.
