no this is not possible because the sound and the call that plays the sound is stored on an eprom chip on the mother board which iis "NOT" not accessable to us mere consumers. it isn't even in the rom chip that the prom is stored to.

Subject: Setting A Start-up and Shut-down Sound

Is it possible to set start-up and shut-down sounds on the Mac? Also
are there places to grab sounds to add to your library or is it okay
to just grab some wave files and use those?
