Bug In Safari

I accidentally hit command-q in Safari while I was downloading.  A  
dialog came up and gave me the option of not quitting, so I chose  
that.  But when I went into the Downloads window, I just got and am  
still dealing with only buttons.  I can't get any idea on how far I  
have to go with the download.

Are there any ways to deal with this?
