Hi. A while ago, I reported to the list an issue whereby VO is
veverting to character echo when I reply to mail. I have just
stumbled upon a way to force this to happen. When you go to reply to
a message, before writing any text, if you scroll down the message,
(as I always have), and then delete any unwanted text, then move back
to the top of the message and insert your reply, VO goes into
character echo. If you write your reply before actually deleting
anything below it, in other words, read it first, then reply, then
delete unwanted text, VO works in word echo mode as it should. This
must be a bug.
