Hi all. Firstly, I'd like to thank the person who put me on to Nisus
Writer Express. This word processor is utterly excellent! There's
no other word to describe it. It's accessible, has lots of keyboard
shortcuts, and even more powerful functionality. It does all the
usual things, like saving to various formats, offering style sheets
and table layouts. But as the subject line says, it will also save
directly to PDF format, and all without any configuration or hassles
whatsoever. This applicatio0n, in terms of functionality makes Text
Edit look like a toy! Sure, you can do basic word processing with
Text Edit. But this application is in a different league. Given the
price of Microsoft Office for Windows, even when bought in component
form, this has to be an absolute bargain at $69.95 U.S. And of
course, it's a universal binary, so it will run on PowerPC or Intel
Macs. Now, I'm going to go and see what happens if I try to create
an accessible PDF document with links and tags. This should be
interesting.
