Actually, as I've said, it is a VoiceOver development team,
as in it is a group of people who have the task of working on that
particular product. Maybe, it's being lost in the translation or our
definitions differ on what a "team" is. It's not necessarily or
entirely a leap of faith considering some basic facts already brought
up by AC and myself. Also, I don't think it requires Too Much
cautious optimism to believe we will see improvements. If you want
to take that stance, that's your choice or anyone else's. Am I
expecting perfection? As I said before, Nothing is perfect.
However, I expect a hell of a lot more from Apple than if I was
dealing with Microsoft.
There will still be bugs, things to complain about and all of
that which goes with this kind of thing, but the overall result is
going to be evolved accessibility and steps forward for VoiceOver.
How far exactly it will go, only the release will tell us, but I
expect more and feel more confident of getting it than if it was
coming from the "competition".

My point was not to stir up an argument, but maybe some thinking.
It seems like people here are taking a huge leap of logic, or maybe
faith. Steve mentions UI at WWDC, so all of a sudden there is this
"entire team" and we are going to see all these improvements.
I'm just urging cautious optimism. Don't read more into Steve's
words then he actually said. Hope yes, maybe even send polite
feedback, but don't get too overjoyed in all the great improvements
in UI. There was not even any mention of fixing the magnification
features of UI, and they are not just lacking, but down right broke.
Please take my words as a Mac user who wants the Mac to live up to
our dreams. I'm a Windows professional, but a Mac user at home.
When I had much more site I was a Mac professional.

John, I am curious why you are so negative and so skeptical. Maybe
you do not realize you come off as trolling? I cannot reconcile this
less than subtle attitude with your sig!
We have had the Apple equivalent of a sign from god (Steve Jobs at
the
WWDC keynote), what more could people want? Short of signing up for
ADC and paying for the pre-release versions, one just has to wait.
