even though it is "readin what is on the screen", it is not getting
that information fromm the screen memory. Instead, VO hooks directly
into the operating system and gets the information at the same time
or even before it is sent to the "screen". Modern "screen readers"
do similar things but not at the level of an api like VO which is
built-in.
