Gabe, the experience I had using the new iMac the other day at the store proves my point and makes you look silly. When I was using the new iMac it was far more responsive and worked much more smoothly than mine with just 1GB. I used it for several minutes in a variety of programs and operations and noted just huge and significant performance improvements over my 9 months old iMac. The changes being double the ram and a dual core processor with the Intel Dual Core 2 processor. but we are consumers with different real world needs. and the need for 2gb
of ram or anywhere above 1gb of ram is not a reality at this time. its that
windows mind set that keep people ranting about this fact
