Hi Jane.
That's not what the visiovoice manual says.
Btw, there's now a specific "convert selection to mp3" in the itunes menus. So if you do want to convert an aiff file to mp3 using itunes, all you have to do is open it so it's playing in iTunes and then go into the menus and do "convert selection to mp3". No navigations with busy signal hazards.

Sorry for my late reply on this, but I lack the time to track this list on a daily basis. Normally VisioVoice will add the track as an AIFF to iTunes and then ask iTunes to convert it to AAC or MP3 (depending on the iTunes import settings) and then finally delete the AIFF file. I just checked and it works correctly for me. There may be certain conditions in which the process cannot complete, such as when iTunes is blocked by other activity or VisioVoice would be forced quit before it is done. So if this is not working correctly for you, you may want to ensure that you do not try to examine the track in iTunes before the conversion process has taken place and is completed. If you discover specific conditions under which it does not work as it should do let me know and I will try to reproduce them.

Hope this helps,

david.
