Hi John and all,
Actually, I've been thinking of doing just that for a while
now...starting a little site devoted to strictly a list of software
that works well with VO and other VO related resources. I only have
so much time to devote to it by myself, but if anyone would be
willing to help compile the information for such a site, please, by
all means, let me know. Recently I've begun using both Senuti and
Handbrake, both of which are good, in Senuti's case, or great, in
Handbrake's case. Actually, I think Handbrake's latest version is
just about 100% VO compatible. I've had no issues with it at all.
I think such a site should also have tips and tricks for particular
apps that can be used but may have some stumbling blocks.

I've mentioned this before, and I know that Greg started doing
it, as well as someone else, but for the sake of combatting the
"there's no software for the Mac that works with VoiceOver" myth,
perhaps a group effort can be undertaken to make a database or list
of all of the known software and what it does? I know we've come a
very long way in two years, and as folks discover new packages, it
would be helpful to the new comer or the person who is considering
the Mac to have this resource. Again, though Kerry's observations
were not made in the same agenda driven spirit as the AFB Access
World article, it still indicates the lack of information on a lot
of topics when it comes to the Mac and the blind.

I can't remember if this has been mentioned before but I've found
a very very VO friendly RSS client called Vienna.
