You know the old saying Will, no one is forcing you to use Safari 3, if its giving you grief then go back to using what you were using until Lepard is released.

Well I'm not sticking up for Apple here but they do say that Safari 3 is a Beta at the moment and after all, when you do use a Beta you do take risks, the idea of Beta software is that you try it and you give feedback to the developers of same so that any bugs can be ironed out over time and so forth. I know people who are using Safari 3 and it seems that at present, its more trouble than its worth, that's why I haven't bothered to upgrade, I know Safari 2's short comings having used it for 18 months and it will do me until I purchase Lepard, only my opinion of course.

Hi,

It is Safari 3 beta I am running so it is not addressed as of yet. It needs to be though in order to be viable on the web. Can you imagine if something like homepage reader for the pc did such a thing, there'd be an upraw.

Ok, so when you talk about Safari jumping around, I know exactly what you're talking about here and this problem has been noted. I don't know whehter its been addressed in Safari 3 as I'm not using it at the present but this problem is one of those issues that isn't specific to all users for all web pages it seems, for example I'm browsing the web site you directed me to right now without any hitches thus far but I do have the problem you mentioned on other web sites, Ebay seems to be the worst example I can find, that thing sometimes is a real pain and the only way I can stop it is to deactivate the HTML and reactivate it again, a real pain as you say but thank god for the link and item chooser options, if it wasn't for them then I'd have no hope of getting back to the point of where I was before Safari jumped <smile>.

Also, the fact that one has no method of true webpage navigation as with real screen readers. The lack of ability to interact with some
pages is irritating. Some of the gaming sights I visit are quite
difficult and I tend to use Windows just for a quiet life.

Some clarification would be useful here too. What is "true ... navigation"? Do you have an example of a page you can't you interact with, and how?

Just to be clear, I'm not saying problems don't exist. I just think it's vastly more helpful to discuss clear specifics.
